Sooooo confused

sooooo confused, i have never been so noob at a program before. I usually catch on really fast but i am so stumped, i noticed my blender options don\t look like some i have seen in tutorials >< i've been creating "renders" simply, and i wanted to upgrade so i got this, but i have not been able to catch on, i have followed some tutorials, but if there is a real noob one anyone recommends, please comment and let me know ^^
